It’s so exciting when you first get a new piece of jewellery. Especially when they sparkle; it can make you almost squeal with delight. You want to show it off and quite rightly so, after all you do deserve it. It’s one of those moments you want to hold on to for as long as you can.
Here are some tips to help you maintain the sparkle in your new-found treasure.
Clean
If there is a lot of dirt on your crystals, mix a little dish detergent with lukewarm water and gently wash the residue off; you may wish to use a very soft brush, such as a make-up brush to help you. Then rinse the soap off completely with cold water before drying it with a soft cloth and then polishing it up with a soft lint-free cloth.
Polish Your Sparkles
Polish your jewellery regularly with a soft lint-free cloth to preserve the brilliance of your sparkly jewellery.
Storage
Avoid storing your jewellery with other items that could scratch it over time. Try and keep them separate, preferably in a soft pouch. Keep them away from areas of moisture and damp or places of extreme heat, room temperature is ideal.
Avoid
Keep your items away from harsh chemicals such as ammonia-based cleaning products, lotions, perfumes and sprays.
Wearing
Put your jewellery on last after you have got dressed up, before going out and take them off first when you get home.
Now go ahead and show off your sparkles; after all you deserve to ‘add a touch of sparkle to your life.’
